Deskripsi Proyek
A fire extinguishing system or fire fighting system is provided in the building as a preventive for fires. This system consists of a sprinkler system, a hydrant system and a Fire Extinguisher. And in certain places a fire gas system is also used. But in general the system used consists of: sprinkler systems, hydrants and fire extinguishers.
There are 3 pumps used in sprinkler and hydrant systems, namely electric pump, diesel pump and jockey pump. The jockey pump functions to stabilize the pressure in the installation, and will automatically work if there is a pressure drop.
And if a sprinkler head breaks or a hydrant is used, the electric pump will automatically work, and the jockey pump will automatically stop working. An electric pump (or electric pump) is the main pump that works when a sprinkler or hydrant head is used. While the diesel pump is a backup pump, if the electric pump fails to work for 10 seconds, this pump will automatically work.
1. Fire Fighting Sprinkler System
This system uses the installation of pressurized sprinkler pipes and sprinkler heads as the main means of extinguishing fires.
There are 2 kinds of systems, namely:
Wet Riser System: All sprinkler pipe installations contain pressurized water with water pressure always maintained at a relatively constant pressure.
Dry riser system: All sprinkler pipe installations do not contain pressurized water, the water supply equipment will flow water automatically if the fire alarm installation orders it.
In general, high-rise buildings use a wet riser system, all sprinkler pipes are filled with pressurized water, with water pressure always maintained at a relatively constant pressure.
If the pressure in the pump decreases, the jockey pump will automatically work to stabilize the water pressure in the pipe. If the pressure continues to drop or a sprinkler head glass bulb breaks, the electric pump will work and the jockey pump will automatically stop. And if the electric pump fails to work after 10 seconds, the diesel backup pump will automatically work.
2. Fire Fighting Hydrant System
This system uses a hydrant installation as the main fire extinguisher, which consists of a hydrant box and accessories, a hydrant pillar and siemese. Hydrant boxes and their installation accessories (hose (hose), nozzle) (or also known as Fire House Cabinet (FHC)) are usually placed in the building, as a precaution if the sprinkler system and fire extinguisher system are overwhelmed with fires in the building.
While the hydrant pillar (which is also equipped with a hydrant box beside it, to store the hose and nozzle) is usually placed in the outside area (road) around the building, used if the fire system in the building is no longer adequate. And Siemese’s function is to fill ground water tanks (water hydrant sources) that are no longer sufficient or run out. Siemese is placed near near the main road. This is to facilitate the filling of water.
This hydrant system also consists of 2 systems, namely:
wet riser system: All hydrant pipe installations contain pressurized water with a pressure that is always maintained at a relatively constant pressure.
Dry Riser System: all hydrant pipe installations do not contain pressurized water, the water supply equipment will automatically operate if the fire hose valve is opened.
Like the sprinkler system, if there is a decrease in the pressure in the installation pipe, then the jockey pump will work. And if the hydrant installation is opened, the electric pump will automatically work, and the jockey pump will automatically stop. And if the electric pump fails to work automatically, then the diesel pump will work.
3. Fire Fighting fire Extinguisher
A fire extinguisher or better known as APAR (Light Fire Extinguisher) is a fire extinguisher that is used manually and directly directed to the position where the fire is.
Fire extinguishers are usually placed in strategic places according to the regulations of the Fire Department.
There are several types of Apar used, namely:
Apar Type A: Murtipupuse Dry Chemical Powder 3.5 Kg
Apar Type B: Co2 gas 6.8 kg
Apar type C : Gas Co2 10 kg
Apar type D : Multipupuse Dry Chemical Powder 25 kg (equipped with Trolley.
4. Fire Fighting Gas System
Gas fire systems are usually used for certain rooms, such as: Generator room, panel room and electronics room (central computer room: hub and server room, IT, Communication and others).
The system used is usually a centralized fire gas system, where gas cylinders (foam, halon, FM 100, Co2 and others), are placed centrally and their distribution into the room is passed through a motorized valve / actuator, piping installation and nozzle.
